Nate Dougherty is the Founder of Verigent, which he launched while studying Economics, Philosophy, and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Florida. He leads the company’s vision and technical strategy, overseeing the design and implementation of custom AI systems that turn emerging technology into practical business capabilities.
Nate’s work begins with understanding how an organization operates and identifying where AI can create meaningful value. He works closely with clients to uncover operational bottlenecks, design intelligent workflows, and build solutions that improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and create capacity for growth.
Having entered the business world alongside the rapid emergence of generative AI, Nate brings a perspective shaped by the technologies redefining how modern organizations operate. His focus is not AI for its own sake, but building systems that are useful, understandable, and designed around the way each business actually works.
Brian Dougherty
President
Brian Dougherty serves as President of Verigent, bringing more than 25 years of experience in sales, business development, and growth strategy, including 17 years in senior executive leadership. He holds an MBA and has built his career helping organizations translate ambitious growth objectives into clear strategies and disciplined execution.
Throughout his career, Brian has secured multi-year, multimillion-dollar B2B contracts, built and led professional sales teams, expanded organizations into new markets, and helped grow business units through strategic partnerships and effective sales execution. This experience gives him a practical understanding of what businesses need from new technology and what it takes to implement change successfully.
At Verigent, Brian leads sales and growth strategy while working directly with clients to understand their operations, identify high-value opportunities, and define the business objectives behind each engagement. He oversees client discovery, strategic partnerships, and ongoing relationships, helping ensure that every Verigent solution supports measurable outcomes and long-term growth.
